Choosing a Carpet Cleaning Service

Finding and choosing the best carpet cleaning service goes further than just searching the internet or phone book. The carpet in your home is one of its biggest assets, so you want to make sure you are hiring experienced professionals that will do the job right.

Choosing an excellent carpet cleaning company will take some research and going with the lowest price is not always the best option.

Here are some tips for choosing a carpet cleaning service:

Research

It is necessary to do some research prior to choosing a carpet cleaning service. Go to your favorite search engine and do a search for carpet cleaners in your area. When doing your research, be sure to read the reviews that other users have left.

You may also want to check out a company’s Facebook page and see what other customers are saying. This will also indicate a company’s professionalism—if they can’t be found online or social media, stay away.

Avoid Cheapest Price Option

Getting a good deal is great; however, when a carpet cleaning company offers really low prices that seem too good to be true, they are normally just trying to get their foot in the door.

While they may offer extremely great deals in their ad, they will come to your home and more than likely try to sell “extras” to you—extras that include spot and stain treatment or deodorizer. All of these services should already be included.

Find Out What is Included

When you are calling carpet cleaning companies, ask them what they include in their services. Often times, the advertised price is just a base, and contingent on the company, extra services may cost more. Make sure you are totally informed before they arrive at your home.

Make sure you ask the company what is included in the price they quote you. Will they move your furniture? Do stairs and high traffic areas cost extra? Does the price include the treatment of spots and stains? These are some extremely important questions to ask when you are choosing a carpet cleaning service.
